Darrell Hubbard is an experienced technologist, an innovator, and a business architect with an extraordinary career focused on monetizing innovation. He entered a community college at the age of 16 and completed his Associate’s in Electronic Data Processing (EDP) at the age of 17. As a prodigy of computers, he was teaching continuing education computer courses also at the age of 17.He enrolled into North Carolina Wesleyan College and completed his Bachelor’s in Computer Information Systems at the age of 18, and subsequently, he completed his Master’s in Computer Science from NC State University at the age of 19. Darrell also earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.Darrell started his professional career as a Chief Architect at AT&T Bell Laboratories and served as a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) working on the standardization and release of the TCP/IP Protocol, known as the Internet. At age 22, he became the youngest USA Expert within the American National Standards Institute to represent the United States of America internationally in proposing and negotiating various Telecommunications and Internet-related standards. Darrell was later elected to serve as a Chairperson in the International Standards Organization (ISO), and at age 23, is the youngest person to ever fill this role. His rise continued as he served as the Head of Financial Management Architecture for AT&T Corporation, managing over $160M in technology initiatives over a 5-year period reporting directly to AT&T’s Chief Financial Officer's Advisory Board.Following his entrepreneurial spirit, Darrell founded Medic Systems and was featured in PC Today Magazine as the Editor’s Choice for architecting one of the industry's first leading Electronic Medical Records (EMR) technologies.Darrell also founded Vertron Corporation, a boutique management and information technology software development and consulting practice, where his clients include Dell Computers, Hewlett-Packard, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., Amgen, Toyota, Oracle, and Philips Healthcare to name a few.Darrell currently serves as the founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Yetta, a next generation blockchain and cryptocurrency for the smart economy funded by Research and Development grants from the European Union.Darrell’s leadership and innovations in blockchain and cryptocurrency have been notably featured by the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and other publications.Darrell has dedicated his life to entrepreneurship and to determining a blue print for how under-represented communities can achieve the highest levels of entrepreneurial success.
